Are vapes safe
In November 2019 the British Heart Foundation funded and published a study made by the University of Dundee.
The study looked at 114 people who had smoked at least 15 cigarettes a day for at least two years.
The study suggests that vaping may be less harmful to your blood vessels than smoking cigarettes. After just one month of switching from tobacco to electronic cigarettes, the health of blood vessels, including blood pressure and stiffness of arteries, had started to improve.
It has to be pointed out that this is a relatively small number of people, and the study does not prove that vaping is completely safe.
